Choosing fabric for medical uniforms
Medical uniforms are laundered often and worn hard. A few fabric decisions determine how a program looks after months of use.
Blend and weight
Medical programs commonly use poly-cotton blends, often around 160–230 gsm. Lighter weights favour breathability and mobility; heavier weights favour structure and opacity. The right point depends on the role and climate, and we confirm it during sampling.
Laundering performance
Clinical garments are typically laundered at up to 60°C. Fabrics and construction should hold colour and shape through repeated industrial washing, which is why reinforced seams and colourfastness matter as much as the cloth itself.
Options on request
OEKO-TEX® certified fabric options are available on request, and blend ratios can be adjusted for a specific program. Ask for these at the enquiry stage so they are built into the sample.
